  1. What does your company do, and what is its background? We offer the most comprehensive and customized software choices for reverse engineering, white light 3D scanners and 3D scanning hardware. We support applications in the mechanical engineering and inspection marketplace. If you have a need for increased efficiency, our software allows you to reverse engineer parts that are too old and never had 3D CAD drawings. In addition, our reverse engineering software lets you make revisions for molds, models or parts consisting of complex surfaces. Our focus is to support the "Napkin to product 3D printing experience".

What products do you sell, or what services do you offer? “Digitizing direct”, approaches the reverse engineering application as a total solution consisting of components from Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products.  These components are grouped together and present the solution as a “bundle” consisting of CAD software, 3D Scanning or Digitizing Hardware, and the CAD Direct Reverse Engineering software plug-in.  This becomes a cohesive solution that as a bundle works together as one.  Your reverse engineering environment becomes a CAD native solution.  The digitizing or 3D scanning hardware becomes a simple extension of the total solution.  Move seamlessly between the digitizer or scanner and the mouse, while never leaving your CAD design software.

We at are always up for a challenge, especially when our software can contribute to the safety of athletes. When Schutts Sports approached us about assisting them in a large endeavor to overhaul and revamp their entire line of helmets and faceguards, we were in.

In response to a growing body of scientific studies that have revealed long term brain damage among pro-football players, Schutts Sports was determined to upgrade their helmet design. To get started, they needed to accurately map their existing helmets into a 3D CAD. Not so easy to do with a bumpy, odd-shaped thing like a helmet.

Having your head in the clouds can be a good thing for Reverse Engineering applications.

With rapidly increasing advancements in the manufacturing of FARO and ROMER 3D portable CMM's and laser scanning hardware, comes a pressuring demand for improved reverse engineering software that enhances these tools.

When looking at the bigger picture, the first thought that comes to mind is cloud computing.

With every challenge there is opportunity.  Today’s economic struggles certainly have us all looking for the opportunity to help survive the immediate economic challenges we are all being faced with.

Replacing new parts instead of buying new machines has been an age old source of finding a way to positively affect the bottom line.  The general question these days is not “should I repair it” but “how can I repair it quicker and more accurately”.
